The following is an excerpt from my book review in Studies in American Jewish Literature, set to be published next year. This review looks at Saul Zaritt's recent book, Jewish American Writing and World Literaure: Maybe to Millions, Maybe to Nobody, which explores categorization and translation in the 20th century. You can read it by clicking on the journal cover.

In 2023, I was invited to review Dan Golding's recent book, Star Wars After Lucas, for The Journal of Film and Video. The review, which explores the way Golding structures his argument about the ways in which Star Wars is political and not just self-referential, but constantly evolving while looking back, is available by clicking on the journal cover.

In late 2023, I was invited to review Steve Zeitlin's edited collection of Jewish folklore for The Journal of Folklore Research. The review was recently published by the Journal of Folklore Research. In the book, Steve Zeitlin sets out to do capture the history, pain, and humor of being Jewish and then some; rather than simply collect stories and jokes, Zeitlin seeks to transform. With the help of Jewish poets, comedians, and writers, Zeitlin presents almost two hundred Jewish stories and jokes (some traditional and some new), split into ten thematic categories, as poems. The review can be found by clicking on the journal cover.
