It is finally time to announce my brand new book: Felizementesindormir, the painstakingly translated-into-Spanish edition of HappilySleepless. A few short weeks ago, on Wednesday, April 25th, a book launch was held at the ODU Bookstore for the new edition. After a short speech by Dr. Martinez (pictured at right) and a few readings by me, Joseph Ozias (pictured at left), the store went on to sell out of copies at the signing event. Special thanks again to Dr. Martinez for all of his help in the translating process.
Below, you can find links to both the English and Spanish edition of the collection at various online storefronts. They will be updated as they become available elsewhere.

Mientras me siento en mi columpio
Mi mente se olvida de todo los lios
Y aunque sólo sea por un tiempo en la brisa
Mis labios se hacen una sonrisa.
HappilySleeplessÂ
246 pages, $20Â
[Paperback (Amazon)]
[Paperback (Barnes and Noble)]
Genre: Fiction; Collection; Short story; Plays; Novella
Description: "HappilySleepless is about a lot of things. It's about everything. From abuse, to death, from happiness to life. HappilySleepless is a journey. There are short stories, books, and plays; read them, and remember, for the rest of your days."
Review: "HappilySleepless by Joseph Ozias is beautiful. The main attractions here are "Weak" and "The Weeping Wall." "Weak" is a story about a kid named Aries whose father abuses him. But that's just the tip of the iceberg; Ozias has carefully constructed his characters here, putting you into Aries' shoes as he faces his many fears. Then there's "The Weeping Wall", a not-too-short story about a lonely wall. I enjoyed (mostly) every minute of it and believe you will as well."
~M. R. Thompson
Review: What a great collection of stories, poems, and plays. Each story engages you as a reader as you journey through far away lands, futuristic societies, and the perils of high school. You meet characters like the weeping wall and the mysterious magician that stay with you long after you put the book down. . . . At [246] pages, this book will keep you entertained for a while. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a little variety in their reading.
